About Lesson

To connect your hosting to your domain in a WordPress website, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your hosting account and locate your domain settings.

  2. Look for the option to set your domain’s nameservers. This is typically found in the DNS (Domain Name System) or Nameservers section.

  3. Replace the existing nameservers with the ones provided by your hosting company. These nameservers will be in the format of ns1.yourhostingcompany.com and ns2.yourhostingcompany.com.

  4. Save the changes to your domain settings.

  5. Log in to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to the Settings > General page.

  6. Update the WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) fields to match your domain name. Make sure to include the https:// prefix.

  7. Save the changes.

  8. Check your website to confirm that it is now using your domain name instead of the hosting domain.

Note: It may take up to 24 hours for the DNS changes to take effect and for your website to be accessible via your domain name.
